Advanced Skin Cancer Treatment
At Radiate 3D we design tools to help doctors treat non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) with radiation. Some cancers, especially those on a patient's nose, can be difficult or impossible to treat effectively using traditional radiotherapy methods. Using a CT scan we design the optimal distribution of catheters for a brachytherapy radiation delivery. We then design a block around that optimal catheter distribution and your anatomy, simple as that. Your doctor will order this block to be manufactured and treatment can begin.
Complex Brachytherapy
Cancer often shows up in hard-to-reach places. Many other factors can complicate the course of treatment. For cancers with few treatment options, we can design a custom tool for your doctor to accomplish a targeted radiation delivery. We start with a CT scan of your anatomy. We then design the optimal distribution of catheters for a successful brachytherapy radiation delivery. We design a block around that optimal catheter distribution and your anatomy. Your doctor orders that block to be fabricated and uses it in surgery to guide the catheters to the planned positions. Radiation is then delivered through those catheters.
